And I was so sure that I was going to get it this week! It’s not the right shape for a watering can, but that’s all that comes to mind.
My guess is, it is the watering cans spray spout~Does it have and actual name? If so, I can not think of it at this moment!

Is it a potato ricer, although they are usually a different shape.
Perhaps it is a part of a strainer.
Being from MN, Land of 10,000 lakes I think it might be a minnow bucket.
vintage / old sprinkler head for hose or water can..
looks like either the head of a galvanized watering can..
an old fashioned sprinkler head that plugs into a bottle of water for “sprinkling’ clothes to be ironed!
or maybe ..part of a galvanized minnow bucket!
