Happy St. Pat’s! It’s a sea of green out there today as everyone displays their Irish pride, no matter how small (or nonexistent) their Irish heritage may be.
So what else can you do today, besides drink green milk (or beer) and look for pots of gold? Why, be crafty, of course! The web, as usual, holds a plethora of ideas for one to get their craft on. Here are a few things to get you started:
Here’s a fun and easy Shamrock Stamp you can make with the kiddies.
If you have a bunch of fabric scraps lying around, this Shamrock Wreath is a good way to use them up. It’s a little different, but actually kinda cool.
If you just happen to possess a real four-leaf clover, grab a necklace soldering kit and some soldering tools and create a very lucky piece of jewelry.
And finally, to feed those Irish bellies, here are some yummy recipes for Irish Soda Bread (I made this last year, and it was gobbled up) and Guinness Corned Beef that is in my slow cooker as I type this. (I know the boiled way is all traditional and whatnot, but it always looks like a brain to me, so I think it’s time to switch it up. Besides, I have not one iota of Irish blood in me, so I can cook corned beef however I want to. So there.)
Now go forth and be Irish!
