A coworker went to a Mother’s Day tea at her son’s school earlier today and showed us this gift that she had received. All of the kids had made one, and we thought it was just so clever:
The kids photocopied their hands making the “I love you” sign, then that copy was reduced, printed out, and adhered to a square of colored foam. A top coat was applied (something similar to Classic Mod Podge, we believe), and the edges of the foam were cut off on a diagonal. A hole was punched through the top of the foam, and a thin ribbon was tied on to make a necklace. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. And so cute!
We’ve never seen anything like that before, and just wanted to share it with you all.
So to all you moms out there, we hope you have a lovely and joy-filled Mother’s Day! Thanks for helping hold this world together. (And on a personal note, to my very own mother, thank you for all that you’ve done, and all that you still do. Love you, Mommy.)
