No tricks, just a treat to create

Let the holiday crafting games begin!

Noelle and I were lucky enough to have the opportunity to play during work again, this time with two different Crafty Secrets Vintage Postcard Kits.

I happily took charge of creating with The Halloween Kit, which includes a Clear Art Stamps Stamp Set, 6 large vintage postcard images, 12 small image embellishments, and 18 ivory chipboard pieces for you to create mail art cards, wall hangings, garlands, or ornaments for gifts and keepsakes.

Cutting out these images brought back fond memories of my childhood paper dolls, and was very therapeutic after a stressful day! After the glued paper dried to the chipboard, I used a nail file to sand and distress the vintage images. I tea-stained the back of the cards to grunge them up a bit, and then had fun stamping away to create the back of the postcards. For sparkly highlights, I added some translucent glitter. The holes are already nicely precut into the chipboard to insert your hanger of choice. (The kits are kid friendly, but we bet you hoard them for yourself.)

Noelle eagerly created with The Christmas Kit, which also includes a Clear Art Stamps Stamp Set, 6 large vintage postcard images, 12 small image embellishments, and 18 ivory chipboard pieces. The kits give you the basics, and then you let your imagination run! Noelle cut out Christmas phrase typography (included in the kit) and adhered the strips to the images, and also added embellishments and vintage rickrack for extra texture to the faces of the postcards. As a final vintage touch, she curled tinsel stems for hangers.

So much fun in one pack! Each kit makes 6 vintage postcards. Check out these, and the other Vintage Postcard Kits, as well as all of their other nostalgically creative products here.
