36th Annual American Crafts Festival

On June 9th and 10th, and on the 16th and 17th, the American Concern for Art and Craftsmanship will hold their annual festival at Lincoln Center in New York City.

A jury of craft experts carefully selected 400 craft-artists from 1,500 applicants. This group, from 44 states will gather, exhibit, and demonstrate their work. This show boasts more than 250, 000 visitors, who are able to view and purchase items directly form the artists themselves.

More than 35,000 creations will be shown, including functional and decorative pottery; molded and dyed leather; precious and non-traditional jewelry; blown, stained, and slumped glass; contemporary and traditional furniture and home furnishings; handspun, handpainted, and handwoven silk apparel; plus alpaca and other natural fibers. There is, of course, much more.

Admission to the show is free (um, awesome!), so if you’re in the area, stop on by and see some beautiful work. They have other shows that go on throughout the year; for more info, click here.

The American Concern for Art and Craftsmanship is a non-profit arts organization under the New York Foundation for the Arts.
