here’s my heart—and a project, too!

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we are sharing a project out of the current issue with our blog friends. This project is one from an ongoing feature article in Create & Decorate called ‘A Touch of Glass’. The beaded embroidery design is by Linda Wyszynski, and each issue showcases a special section of beading guidelines courtesy of Mill Hill Beads, wichelt.com.

“Valentine’s Day is the perfect time for a romantic dinner, and this basket liner (used as a bread cloth) will give the candle-lit table a special sparkle.” -Linda

stuck inside? why not stitch a little?

The Create & Decorate January/February 2014 issue has so many wonderfully crafty projects to create. The weather outside may be frightful, but crafting indoors is, oh, so delightful! (Sorry—we couldn’t help ourselves.) The issue is available to purchase online, too, just in case you’re snowed in. Click here for a convenient link!

One of our favorites from this issue is the lovely Blue and White Sampler designed by Terry Loewen. By combining Mill Hill  beads, Antique White linen from Wichelt Imports, and variegated floss from DMC, the finished result is a beautiful antique look.

Terry also designed coordinating snowflake ornaments that are available on the Create & Decorate website for a limited time (click here)! The motif would look equally sweet stitched onto a hand towel. Enjoy the opportunity to stay inside and crafting the winter away!
